that's insulting and ignorant!there's no proper reference at all, not mentioning unsuited to the context.and there's no such mention in the bible was far as i know.

well...

i just posted it coz i find it interesting... and it made me think about stuff...

and also the clip was taken from within the show itself so i'm sure it was within the context of the episode storyline...

is there really no mention of it? well i shall try to verify that for u...

and at the end of the day its how we choose to intrepret the text that was written and also i know who ppl are lol...

remember we are all entitled to our own opinions!

Yup thats thrue... one person can read the text and interpret TOTALLY a different thing from another person...even though religious scripts are made to mean in some way, can be interpreted wrongly by people...

and I dont even have to remind you on how many new and old testaments there are of the bible...

That's why sometimes religions are such a mess and screwed up hah

In this postmodern word, people have chosen to say that truth is subjective to one's interpretation. (note: chosen) But if so, how can that truth be valuable anymore when it is supposed to be pure, standing the test of time. That aside, humans were not made to engage in homosexuality, neither physically, psychologically, nor emotionally. In Exodus 21:7, read in context and entirety, does not advocate slavery, but it is about respecting the laws of the day and doing what is right. On that note, Christianity is a relationship built with God through accepting Christ as one's Saviour through His sacrifice on the cross. In addition, Christ's coming is a fact recorded and a truth. Christianity is not a system of laws to bind people or just dogma.

Yes! I guess there is no easy answer to all the different interpretations out there and what not. However, assuming the reference in being made towards the mainstream Christian bible and not any other, there is only ONE new and old testament, albeit the different translation standards which still holds the same meaning. On the other hand, there seems to be a grotesque inconsistency in our liberalized 'Westernized' society which deems it ok slam the bible, combating false values and ideas in our secular society. I'm wondering if there would be a similar video (in a popular TV show) featuring the koran in a similar fashion? Think abt that.. Just my two cents.

well if there was one slamming the koran then it wouldn't last very long lol... all the people associated wit it would be stoned or beheaded or sumthing... lol.

but also don't u have to critize or discuss to improve. can't be just following blindly rite? times have changed. i think or is it still the same as how it was 2000 years ago?

i think this is worth... 1 and half cents...

Haha well not so serious as being stoned i guess...but i do think that even discusssion and criticism should be objective with a logical basis, otherwise there is no difference to following blindly. Also, at the very least, there is a need to respect God's word while preserving its dignity, especially in view of such inconsistency. No matter which time and age we're living in, i guess such universal values (whether respect for religions, or compassion for slaves) should never be compromised, no?
